SBS’s The Handmaid’s Tale takes over Pitt Street Mall

To promote the new season of The Handmaid’s Tale on SBS, we transformed Sydney’s Pitt Street Mall into an immersive experience to captivate passersby.
We didn’t just promote the premiere of the show; we created a living piece of The Handmaid’s Tale in the heart of the city. The imaginative installation included striking red-cloaked mannequins standing silent in the custom-built display, their presence made even more impactful by our carefully crafted lighting design.
We added to the immersion of the experience by playing audio snippets from the show, drawing curious onlookers into the atmosphere of The Handmaid’s Tale.
The additional wow factor was the live handmaid, fully in character, weaving through the crowds. This interactive element brought the fiction into reality, allowing fans to step into the story and capture a selfie and shareable moments. This campaign saw incredible social media amplification and definitely drew a crowd in the mall.
This campaign showcases our ability to create immersive experiences that don’t just promote – we turned a trip to the mall into a talking point, generating buzz and anticipation for the new season amongst shoppers across the weekend.
